Info
Safety warnings candles
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep candles out of reach of children and pets and always use them in a well-ventilated area. The holder (glass, ceramic or metal) can become hot during use — never touch it with bare hands.
Fragility
- Candles in glass and ceramic holders are fragile — handle with care
- Inspect the holder before each use for cracks or damage — do not use if the holder is damaged
- Do not expose glass or ceramic holders to sudden temperature changes, as this can cause cracking or breaking
- Do not place the candle on a cold surface immediately after use
- Never let the candle burn all the way down — excessive heat can cause the holder to crack or break
- Do not tip over or knock the holder during use
- In case of breakage: do not touch shards with bare hands and dispose of them safely
During use
- Place the candle on a stable, flat and heat-resistant surface
- Keep at least 10 cm distance between multiple burning candles
- Keep the candle away from curtains, paper and other flammable materials
- Do not use the candle in a draught or near open windows
- Trim the wick to a maximum of 5 mm before each use
- Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time
- Stop use if the flame becomes too high or flickers irregularly
- Extinguish the candle when approximately 1–2 cm of wax remains
- Remove packaging, labels and decorations such as dried flowers before use
- Do not allow melted wax to overflow from the holder
Extinguishing and storing
- Extinguish the candle with a wick snuffer or candle cap — do not blow it out
- Never use water to extinguish a candle
- Make sure the flame is completely out before leaving the room
- Always extinguish before going to sleep or leaving the house
- Allow the candle to cool completely before moving or storing it
- Store candles upright, in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources
- Store glass and ceramic holders so they cannot fall or knock against each other
